Your Questions, Answered
Getting Started
-
Not at all. Sessions are adapted to your experience, fitness level, and individual goals. Whether you're completely new to Pilates or have been practicing for years, we'll meet you where you are.
-
Your first session is a chance for us to get to know you. We'll talk through your movement history and goals and, if you'd like, include a brief postural analysis. From there, we'll begin moving and get a feel for what your body needs.
-
Wear comfortable, fitted clothing that allows you to move freely. Pilates is practiced without shoes, so there's no need for special footwear, but you are welcome to wear grippy socks for hygiene. Please avoid zippers to protect the equipment. Avoid any lotions and fragrances as these sometimes cause less grip on the equipment.
-
Just yourself and a water bottle if you'd like one. Equipment is provided in the studio.
-
Absolutely. You don't need to arrive knowing what you're doing. We'll take the time to understand your body, answer your questions, and introduce movement at a pace that feels comfortable and appropriate for you.
